Here in Australia it is winter. The winter weather is fabulous for the farmers and for the gardens and it’s so lovely to stay indoors by a warm fire.
The U.S., UK and many other countries are having lovely warm and hot summer weather.
Who wants to go on holiday?
To pack and carry those bags, you need to have a healthy body so you’ll be fit and pain free to travel — and pack and carry those bags and have a fabulous time — and there is always plenty of walking! One way of being well enough to go away on holidays is to have a few massages over six weeks before you go away to get all the muscles loosened up before you go.
It is also good well-being when you are going to travel in the car or do some work you are not used to doing like cleaning Mum’s house out, renovating the back garden or painting the house. Have a massage to limber up; it is too late if you do your back in, then you will be having remedial massage treatments 2 times a week to recover — and you get no back garden done!

Helen Tip #36: Hip Pain that Comes from Running on a Treadmill
Running on a treadmill can look easy and like running on grass or around the streets on a hard surface. Next time you do, notice what you do different. The little muscles around the hip joint gets tight and quickly starts to pull and cause pain down the outside. Your legs and other areas start to get what most people think is putting on weight at the side of the upper leg. Many think more exercise is needed to get rid of that extra fat; the real problem is the pain becomes worse from trying. Remedial massage will unlock the real reason.

People that are indoors all day, every day wonder what they can do if they work indoors all day. Yes, they say wear sunscreen when going outdoors.
But many health practitioners and doctors are quietly thinking that we still need to get 10-15 minutes of sun each day so our body can get the Vitamin D it needs to absorb for health throughout the year, so be sure to get your 10-15 minutes of sunshine and enjoy a healthy life.

Remedial Massage – Relieve Chronic Pain
You can have a good time and be pain free, knowing life is like a long, happy holiday — OR a nightmare with no end in sight!
It is a shock when you have pain and the pain will just not go away. Yes, I can give you the medical version of what it is but that’s not my area of expertise. Our expertise is we find that muscles do have feelings, they do feel pain, and they shut down and feel so hard and restrictive. That prevents the muscles from being relaxed and stretching to open and be able to do what you like to, like laying in a different way in bed. Look at your children when they sleep — their arms and legs are going in every direction because the muscles are relaxed.
Chronic pain can happen from a car accident, work injury, stress, grief, and overloading from a continued demanding work environment. It is the jerking, pulling, hitting your head, bruises, and trauma.
It can be felt throughout your whole body or in a particular area like your back, legs, or stomach pain. It can feel like it is in your head, causing headaches, migraines, neck pain, ear ache or ringing in your ears from tendinitis. Others experience overwhelming mind fatigue where you can’t focus on anything and your head is in a fog and you have a sense of anxiousness and can’t understand what is going on; your heart feels tight, breathing is shallow, or you experience grief.
It is difficult to get a handle on what to do for the best results. At this point the muscles are all screaming and the relief that remedial massage has on chronic pain like this is profound.
Massage opens the fibres of the muscles so they can stretch again. Pushing, poking and stretching exercises can’t make the muscles come apart — it is almost like super glue that’s stuck together.
Chronic pain in the body has been caused by many inside and outside impacts and trauma for a very long time and the body cannot do any more until the mind/body connection has been rebalanced and health returns — which can only be controlled by each person.
The big problem is that until you start feeling good you don’t know what is really good. Some chase the quick fix, seeing one person once then chasing the next shiny idea; or maybe someone told you someone did them good so you race off to that person, then another person.
But unfortunately nobody gets to the deeper layers of what is happening and you don’t get the needed results. All you get is more confusion, pain and discomfort.
Chasing the cheap deals can end up being very expensive, time consuming and provide minimal help. This is your health you’re playing with. Tablets will not be effective and provide a long lasting, full health recovery and balance.
Some have one, two, even three treatments and feel better, then return after 2-3 years time. Because we are all working, the stress of everyday life builds up and overflows into pain; having a massage once a month keeps you returning to balance on the internal and external body world.
Remember, life is about enjoying our lives and having fun!

Massage does release toxins, but this is not poisonous or a chemical. We are talking about the build-up of stress, hormones, birthing, time fatigue, refined foods and additives, congestion and fatigue — all of which can be minimised by massage.
While you are breastfeeding, massage rebalances your hormones, giving you a better quality of breast milk, a calmer mum, calmer baby, sleep better, feel better, and the recovery from pregnancy and the birthing process is quicker. Mum’s energy returns much quicker and she is able to cope well with all the changes, and she will be empowered and have a clear mind; she feels good!
Most mums don’t get that; they feel they have a foggy head, crying baby and a fatigued mum is normal. No, that normal is not empowering to a mum.

Chapter 5 – Talk to Your Children
A mum was here at Chelsea Massage having a massage, and her son had been going to kindy. Sometimes he would come home happy, other times sad. When mum asked him about his day, he would say the other kids did not want to play with him, then the next day they were his best friends. The little boy did not understand why and felt lonely because it was not like that at home; he only knew loving relationships around him. Mum did not know what to say except the classic, “It will be alright; you’ll find some other friends.”
This is where the magic comes in; as parents we can bring clarity through listening and feeling those experiences of what your child is going through. What is even better is you, as the adult, knows it is a negative experience and you can give the child clarity that this is how some people behave and it has nothing to do with you.
So you tell them when these times happen again where others don’t want to play, join another group and ask them if you can play with them. If you like that group and they treat you well, be with those people. Give your children the tools to talk and play with other children. Teach your children not to put up with being treated badly. Let your child know it is not their fault or they are doing something wrong, but stand up and say to them that there are other children to talk and play with.
