Past generations had a set way it had to go to be a Dad. A man was boo-hooed if he looked after his own child, things about being under the thumb. There's a big joke that men have to stay out of their emotions, otherwise they are somehow not a real man. Sorry boys, a real man these days is one of balance, harmony, and connection with himself and the people around him.
The blokey-bloke is not as wanted as a life partner and husband, and are often left on the shelf — and mostly with his mates — or get as much as the others because they are so hard on the outside they miss what their heart really desires; that is to be loved… We all know the type and have a look around at who is loved and what they have.
Women love their man being kind, loving and gentle, and to be held in those times. It's not the words he uses.
Many dads are taking on the role of being househusband with children and housework, and once they know what to do and find their feet, they love their role reversal. Some share the role each week so both parents have time with their children while still working outside the home to keep the balance.
Have you ever thought of asking your husband, wife or partner what ways they like to be shown that they are loved?
Think about that for a moment; when do you feel you are loved? I thought deeply about that and realized it was not the buying of the flowers or jewelry, the dinners going out, or buying me stuff like the ads say you must do. It's the cup of coffee he would bring me while I'm working that I didn't ask for tells me he loves me.
When I asked my husband, I thought I knew the answer but to my surprise it was very different!! It was receiving a hug before getting out of bed in the morning that he loved. So it would be much easier to ask and find out so we can naturally love them the old-fashioned way.
Quick Tips
Helen Tip #30: Do You Have a Stressed Out Teenager?
We massage teenagers that have headaches. This is commonplace with musical instruments, sports bags and other heavy bags, long periods of time looking at the iPad or laptop, playing instruments, school practice and more practice. They are getting grumpy and this is called stress; and they need to relax their legs, back, shoulders, neck, arms and hands (cramping is tight muscles, not bones).
Lara Tip #37: Take the Day Office if You Feel Sick
One sick person comes to work and infects everybody else. Part of the problem is air conditioners and heaters that go to all the different floors and cause the whole building to become sick very quickly. So for once think of yourself and stay in bed to sleep; this will improve you greatly. While you sleep, the body fights illness. Lemon, honey and hot water should be sipped to help the throat.

Are You Watching TV?
Watching TV can affect what is real, integrity, behavious, how we do things, what we should think and what is shown to be happy, relaxed and having a great life. The golden arches will not make you happy by eating the food, so you will keep going back to get happy.
Revenge series is not real and the behaviour does have consequences to the actions that we do. This is not a behavious that brings harmony, but a threat of getting back at someone.
Some of the advertising ads are regularly downright dangerous, and children will have a go. I had a game with my children about who got pulled into that ad, what they are really selling, and do you think you could really do what they did? This was to bring the children's attention out of the TV and why they have all the ads to get you in.
Going to all the shops that have a sale is not practical and children don't realize the games to get them. Children want what everybody else has got; this great want and have to have behaviour is very overwhelming for them — but it is also happening to the parent wanting everything now.
By using this game for your children and on yourself, it also opens their thoughts to an awareness of what friends do, and they can choose to side-step quietly what other people want you to do, while they watch you or make you join in to what they are doing.

12 Tips for Coping with Stress During Pregnancy
Parts 1 & 2
How to Gain Confidence in Your Life
A Doctor friend of mine once said to me, if you don't feel stress in your life you're not being in life; you're avoiding what is going on or you're staying home all day. We all experience stress in our own way, even pregnant women. We clearly see every day that some stress is unavoidable and can be ok, and other stress where it does affect and harm the child. The young unborn child is ready for the outside world to cope and grow.
Below are listed some techniques that both women and husband/partners have found useful in helping to relieve the sense that life is getting into overwhelm.
Gaining confidence in your life:
- First, take a look at all the activities you do in your life Monday to Sunday — morning, afternoon and night time. When we have time on our hands we will fill this time with many different activities. Look closely at your lifestyle and make a mental note of the very little time there is left. Sports, family, other relationships, work, and nights out. As you become fully pregnant, life will become different and time will be more for rest and relaxation. After birth, this time goes into looking after baby and all.
- When becoming pregnant, you will be coping as normal; busy and doing all the things you have been doing. As your baby grows, so does your body's need to use more energy food that will help your baby grow. Imagine making a cake and leaving an ingredient out — it will not be the cake you hoped for. Avoid chemical foods, the golden arches and the like; take out basic refined bread and find the well-made and traditional grains and balanced foods. Keep foods as natural as possible and chemical free.

Page 46 Section: What are you going to be the first in your family to do?
You see, from past generations people have been blaming them for everything that ever happens to themselves and to the whole family. Only problem is, it keeps going down through other generations.
What I hear often is, I was born this way. All of our ways come from Mum and the environment of the baby that lives in the womb for 9 months. A baby can hear everything; they are thinking feeling, hearing, tasting, breathing and seeing through your eyes everything that is going on.
How we have the environment on the outside determines how the baby will be when baby arrives. A Mum brought her dear little boy so we could meet him — he was amazing!
Dad's way was calming and he was totally comfortable with his dear little boy and off they went for a walk. I know this Dad was on a mission to do things differently from how it was for him and his dad in that generation; they had to go and make money for the family, and the rest of the time children were to be "seen and not heard;" it was a classic.
Once you became an adult the behaviour had been shaped and what many adults struggle with now is unlearning old behaviours from childhood.
So what kind of Dad did you really want to be and how can you be that dad? This is where Breakthrough Coaching sessions — 5 hours over 2-3 weeks — can really move what stops you and lets you step into having fun and enjoying your family freely.
Now you can get a special book, "Empowering You & Your Family"!

What's New
New to Chelsea Massage & Reflexology Clinic: our App is coming! It's being built as we speak. I am so excited to have the Chelsea Massage App; for you it means that we can let you know when there are times available. You might find that to have a massage on that day would be of value in helping you feel the best you can be. You'll also get an update about our blog and newsletter that you can read when you would like; take it easy away from the other work.
You'll find this right on your iPhone, iPad, Android and other tablets, and you can read the newsletter that comes out each month — and share different topics with your friends.
Once Chelsea Massage has her Mobile App, we'll then be starting to offer this service to all small businesses; my techy husband will be behind making the apps come alive.
Our blog talks about many different topics; you can always request information about a particular issue by email above. Do you really know what happens when you have a massage? Many think it is a bit of a luxury, too expensive, and wonder what all the fuss is about. If only they knew — it must not be their time to find their way to living the life they want.
A girl today came into Chelsea Massage who was happy enough in life, friends, work and exercise, except her feet ached and were in pain. She was confused about why her back and neck were hurting and her lower arms were cramping while at the computer all day. After the massage she learned what was happening to her and that little changes in her routine would make all the difference. She could see how she was overloading one area and the rest of her body was in pain.
Next month I will be talking about how the first week of September our magazine will be available on iTunes in the Newsstands section so I will keep you posted.
An audiobook is coming for those who get sleepy when trying to read, and those who would rather listen while doing exercise, walking or driving in the car. It helps to feel empowered to make changes with the OMG when they get home. By listening to the audio while the children are in the car, they will get information for themselves and this will help them in their lives. Others would rather find a sunny, comfortable place and listen in.
